Project Nimbus Unveils Cloud Computing Due Diligence Report
CLICK HERE TO GET YOUR FREE COPY OF THE PROJECT NIMBUS WHITE PAPER The paper - written by myself, Channel Insider's Carolyn April, Cal Net Technology Group's Zack Schuler and Mytech Partners Lyf Wildenberg - focused on three areas: defining cloud computing for the channel, outlining the baseline business models for solution providers in cloud computing and drafting best practices for due diligence in establishing cloud computing partnerships. We presented the white paper and other cloud computing research in a standing-room-only session at the HTG All event in Orlando. As we state in the white paper and during our discussions at HTG, Project Nimbus was founded on the idea of the wisdom of crowds and the dynamic nature of information and best practices. Our goal was never to craft definitive practice templates or rigid rules for cloud computing. Rather, we wanted to create a dialogue where solution providers could study issues, share experiences and points of view, and create baseline outlines for success in cloud computing. The feedback we received at HTG is that the information presented from the initial phase of Project Nimbus is good, but much more intelligence is needed. Channel Insider and HTG will continue our cloud computing efforts and will soon begin studying issues around customer ownership, pricing and profitability, private cloud best practices, and more. Project Nimbus invites more community input to these deliberations. We will post more of our thoughts, ideas and issues on the Channel Cloud Computing Blog for your comments and suggestions. Project Nimbus is a community effort that only works with your active participation. CLICK HERE TO GET YOUR FREE COPY OF THE PROJECT NIMBUS WHITE PAPER |
