For small businesses that have heard about the benefits of virtualization but don't want to lay out the cash just yet, Microsoft's free hypervisor, Hyper-V, may very well be "good enough" for now. But bigger shops should look at the total cost of ownership -- additional hardware cost, management software, and other costs -- before they decide to place a bet on Hyper-V over another flavor of virtualization.

Given all of Apple's attention to utter perfection in everything, it's hard to believe that the company overlooked the fact that the name of its new product -- the product so fervently awaited by Apple fans and non-fans alike -- had an alternate connotation that could cause some to giggle or groan.
