BBC Makes Secure Channel Bigger than Elvis or The Beatles
Yes, you read correctly, the Secure Channel blog is a hit in England, and is on its way to topping the charts faster than Elvis, The Beatles or even Zanfir (the king and master of the magical pan flute). The participation and discussion by readers of the Secure Channel blog caught the attention of the might British Broadcasting Company, which reached across the pond to join the chat about poor password management. They wanted to bring the wisdom of the Secure Channel community back to Jolly Ye Ole England. OK, seriously, the BBC Radio 5 interviewed me yesterday for its Pods and Blogs show, which caters to the up-all-night techno-geeks of the British Isles. Our friends in London were intrigued by the survey Channel Insider and CompTIA conducted that showed poor password management topped the list of problems found by solution providers during security assessments. Check out the discussion I had with the BBC at: http://www.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/series/pods. Judging by the surge in traffic following the live broadcast last night, it's clear that our cousins across the pond appreciate the collective expertise of those participating in the Secure Channel password discussion. Many thanks to our new friends at BBC Radio 5. |
