16 Gbytes of Flash! When Is Enough, Enough?
Flash drives have become one of the most common tools for today's knowledge worker. After all, they are everywhere and many companies just give them away as promo products. Corsair answers that question with its Flash Voyager USB 2.0 drive, which offers an amazing 16 Gbytes of storage. That's right, 16 Gbytes, almost as much as what 4 DVD ROMs can store, and thanks to the device's speedy USB 2.0 interface and high-speed electronics, the Flash Voyager outperforms most hard drives. The device will retail for under $100, and Corsair will be offering a 32-Gbyte unit in the near future. I'm sure there are those who are wondering, "Who could ever need that much flash capacity?" Well, to that I offer a Bill Gates quote: "640K ought to be enough for anybody!" |

If you take into consideration that there are people out there that are running operating systems from a USB drive, then this makes sense.

My data is much more valuable than my computer. I backup to the flash media and take it with me. I can use it on any computer. Right now 16G would do, but maybe in 6 months I'd need more. Keep 'em coming!!!

I have a 16 gig Corsair that I keep a few key images on. It works GREAT with Bart and Ghost!
