Sum Effect Software, a provider of e-commerce solutions, announced the release of CoreCommerce software as a service e-commerce solution. The product works to get small and midsize businesses up and running as quickly as possible with e-commerce.

The product provides SMBs with the features to compete with large Internet retailers--all through a standard Web browser. The company also has added some innovation to the mix--for example, there is a "single page" checkout option (see image) that stops shoppers from having to go through several pages and clicks to just make a simple purchase.

CoreCommerce provides unlimited upgrades and toll-free phone support. Packages start at $9.99 month for the first month. CoreCommerce includes a free, shared, secure certificate allowing all transactions to be processed using 256-bit encryption.

The company has partnered with Rackspace to offer the product as a hosted service, so reliability should not be an issue.

Although the company is not offering an official channel program, it may be worth seeing whether they are interested in garnering some partners!
